ALWAYS THE LOWEST BUYER’S PREMIUM WHEN BIDDING ON OUR WEBSITE OR MOBILE APP
Buyer’s Premium is just 25% when bidding via our website or mobile app (you can register and download by clicking here). Simply create an account, download the mobile app and log-on on both your computer and your mobile device. With your account you can:
- save and ‘watch’ lots that interest you
- place and review bids ahead of the sale
- bid live in real time on sale day
For your convenience, in most auctions you can also bid via Invaluable or LiveAuctioneers, but please note the Buyer’s Premium will be 30% on these and any other third-party platforms.
BLACK ART AUCTION accepts payment by check, bank wire transfer, Zelle, and all major credit cards.
PLEASE NOTE: Credit card transactions incur a fee of 3%.
Payment is due 10 business days from the date of the auction.
LATE FEES
If we do not receive payment within 10 business days of the auction, you are subject to a 3% late fee. After 10 business days, we will send out updated invoices reflecting your new balance. Please understand, we must pay consignors on time.

BID ON THE PHONE
When bidding by phone, Black Art Auction will call you during the sale just before your specified lots are to be auctioned. This enables you to bid live with a BAA phone representative acting as liaison between you and the auctioneer. When phone bidding, you are bidding in real time as if you were in the auction room. BID LIVE ONLINE OR VIA OUR MOBILE APP
On the day of the sale you can bid live during any auction from your desktop computer or mobile device! Bidding live online allows you to participate in real time no matter where you are physically located.
ABSENTEE
Absentee bids—also referred to as left, order or commission bids—allow you to place a maximum bid amount on individual lots. During the sale, Black Art Auction will bid on your behalf up to that amount, making every attempt to secure the lot at the most competitive price.
